On September 27, the final stage of the exercises of the West Kazakhstan Region territorial defense units took place, which was attended by students studying at the military department of Zhangir khan university in the specialty «Territorial Defense», senior lecturer, reserve lieutenant colonel Kalesh Kangeldiev and head of the military department, reserve colonel Askar Konirov.
During the exercises, techniques and tactics of actions of territorial defense units were practiced when performing combat tasks to protect and defend strategic life support facilities, as well as to destroy enemy terrorist groups. Among the command staff of the territorial defense there are many graduates of the military department, officers who are serving or were called up from the reserves for the period of training.
