At Zhangir Khan University, 99 students of the military department were awarded the military rank of «Sergeant of the Reserve» based on the order of the Head of the West Kazakhstan Region Department for Defense Affairs.
The ceremonial event coincided with June 4 – the State Symbols Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The gathering began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. After that, Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Affairs Akylbek Sultanov congratulated the students on successfully completing the military department and receiving the rank of «Sergeant of the Reserve».
«The fact that today’s joyful occasion coincides with the State Symbols Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan carries special significance. Our State Flag, Coat of Arms, and Anthem are sacred symbols of our independence, unity, and nationhood. Respecting the state symbols is the patriotic duty of every citizen. It should be noted that graduates who have successfully completed the military department and received their rank will join the ranks of specialists ready to contribute to strengthening the country’s defense capabilities in the future.
