At the VIII National Games currently taking place in Turkistan, Bekzhan Galymzhan, a student of Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University, won a silver medal in Kazakh Kuresi in the 74 kg weight category.
Bekzhan Galymzhan is a second-year student majoring in Physical Education and Sports. It should be noted that he previously won a bronze medal at the Republic of Kazakhstan Cup among senior competitors.
According to the West Kazakhstan Region Department of Physical Culture and Sports, the West Kazakhstan Region’s Kazakh Kuresi team achieved a historic success at the ongoing VIII National Games. The Akzhaiyk wrestlers became champions in the overall team standings.
