The West Kazakhstan аgrarian and technical university named after Zhangir Khan hosted a solemn event “Zhangir khan university: present, tomorrow, future” dedicated to the Republic Day and the 60th anniversary of the university.
The solemn event was attended by the chairman of the board-rector of the university Askar Nametov, deputy mayor of the region Bakytzhan Narymbetov, veterans, invited guests, staff and students of the university.
Rector of the university Askar Myrzakhmetov congratulated the audience on the Republic Day, and then reviewed the historical path of development of Zhangir khan university.
In his speech, deputy mayor of the region Bakytzhan Narymbetov congratulated the staff of the West Kazakhstan agrarian and technical university on its 60th anniversary, which has become the pride of not only the region, but also the country.
During the solemn event, representatives of Michurinsk state agrarian university, Tambov state university, Ufa state petroleum technical university, Samarkand institute of veterinary medicine, Zhilinsky university spoke, who expressed confidence in further strengthening of partnership relations with the West Kazakhstan university. Also, the heads of the universities of the region – M. Utemisov ZKU, KazIITU, West Kazakhstan innovation and technology university made their best wishes. And Zhangir khan university veteran Kazybai Bozymov, who held the rector’s position for many years and made a significant contribution to the development of the university, congratulated colleagues and wished success in their work.
In the future, the university staff, working fruitfully, were awarded with awards from the ministries of Agriculture, ecology and natural resources, industry and infrastructure development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National agrarian scientific and educational center, from the mayors of the West Kazakhstan region and the city of Uralsk, as well as badges “For contribution to the development of the University”.
The gala evening continued with a concert program organized by students and graduates of the university.
On this day, institutes and structural units met and honored the memory of veterans who served at the university with a sixty-year history.
