Humanitarian aid from higher educational institutions of Shymkent city was delivered to the evacuation center in the house of students of Zhangir khan university.
Shymkent colleagues also provided such assistance to our fellow countrymen located in the evacuation center of Makhambet West Kazakhstan university. In particular, together with Zhumabek Tashenev university, Uzbekali Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan pedagogical university, academician A. Kuatbekov peoples’ friendship university, Central Asian innovation university, Shymkent university, they decided to provide assistance to the city of Uralsk, where an emergency situation occurred. Representatives of each university accompanying the humanitarian aid expressed sympathetic wishes from residents of the south, teachers and staff of Shymkent educational institutions studying. Chairman of the board -rector of Zhangir khan university Askar Nametov, vice-rector for educational and social work Akylbek Sultanov expressed gratitude to the teams that extended helping hands in difficult times.
Representatives of Shymkent universities visited the areas where the flood occurred, helped to raise dams on the riverbank, strengthen defense in flood-prone areas. In addition, after the emergency, they, together with the teaching staff and the student body, promised to help the West Kazakhstanis in the restoration work at the flood sites.
