On December 4-5, Almaty hosted a round table on the topic: «The introduction of educational materials on unified health in the educational process of agricultural universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan».
The round table was attended by candidates of veterinary sciences of Zhangir khan university Ilana Abirova and Kenzhebek Murzabayev, as well as doctor of veterinary sciences Rashid Karmaliev.
The event, organized by the Kazakhstan office of the World organization for animal health (WHOH) and the ministry of agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan with financial support from the USA agency for international development (USAID Central Asia USAID – US Agency for International Development), was devoted to the implementation of materials on unified health in the programs of undergraduate and graduate students of agricultural universities.
At the round table experts discussed the importance of a unified concept of health, intersectoral approaches in the fight against zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance, food and biological safety. In addition to university professors, the round table was attended by experts who signed a quadripartite agreement with the World organization for animal health, as well as representatives of the Food and agriculture organization of the United Nations.
