The ceremony of taking the military oath by students of the Military Department was held at Zhangir Khan University.
Congratulating the graduates of the military department, Askar Nametov, Chairman of the Board and Rector of the University, noted that this day has great historical and educational significance.
At the solemn event, students who were recognized as the best at training camps and distinguished themselves by their bravery were awarded on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Department of Emergency Situations of the West Kazakhstan Region and the leadership of the West Kazakhstan Region. The Chairman of the Board, Rector of the University Askar Nametov, was also awarded the gratitude of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was also attended by vacationers of the military summer children’s camp «Akzhayyk Kyrandary», who performed patriotic songs and marched with students of the department.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, more than 300 students graduated from the University’s Military Department. Of these, 200 received the rank of reserve sergeant, and 124 received the rank of reserve officer. Sergeants who completed a year of study at the military department were trained in four specialties. And the officers, who studied for two years, were trained in six specialties.
