A round table discussion titled «The Foundation of Independence – State Symbols» was held at Zhangir Khan University in honor of June 4 – the State Symbols Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Members of the university’s faculty participated in the event. The gathering began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The moderator of the round table, Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Affairs Akylbek Sultanov, emphasized that state symbols are a clear sign of the country’s independence and an important foundation of national identity.
In their presentations, the speakers discussed the significance of state symbols, the connection between respecting them and civic responsibility, and their role in shaping national identity.
During the event, participants exchanged views and opinions on the presentations.
It should be noted that the Constitutional Law «On the State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan» was adopted on June 4, 2007. In accordance with this Law, this day is celebrated annually in Kazakhstan as State Symbols Day.
