The 17th republican subject olympiad was held on April 24–25 at Zhangir khan university.
Students from the country’s leading agricultural universities took part in this intellectual competition: the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (Almaty), S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University (Astana), K. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University,
as well as the host students from WKATU.
A total of six teams, consisting of 24 students, competed for the title of best in the educational programs “Plant Protection and Quarantine” and “Aquaculture and Aquatic Bioresources”. The majority of participants were 3rd- and 4th-year students.
The Olympiad program traditionally included two stages: first, the participants introduced their teams and took a test on core subjects in their field.The second stage involved solving situational tasks that closely simulated real professional scenarios.
Following the results of the republican subject olympiad, the winners and prize-winners and their supervisors were awarded.
