Industrial practice is a mandatory part of the educational process for 4th year students. The student must decide on the place of internship six months before it begins, draw up a schedule with the supervisor.
The organization of internships is carried out on the basis of an agreement between the university and the relevant organizations where students were sent for internships. According to the agreement between the university and the organization (enterprise), each student is assigned two supervisor of practice: from the enterprise and the university.
The higher school «Technology of food and processing industries» has established cooperation with the dairy enterprises of the region «Ice-Plus», located in Aktobe and «Uralsk trade company» in Uralsk.
«Ice-Plus» is one of the largest enterprises in the region, engaged in milk processing since 1999. Today, on the basis of the partnership, a dairy cluster has been organized, which includes more than 40 agricultural formations – «Ice-plus» milk producers. Product range: sterilized, pasteurized and baked dairy products, ice cream (23 types), fermented milk products.
The «Uralsk trade company» is one of the youngest enterprises in the West Kazakhstan region, the main activity of which is the production of milk. Nevertheless, the enterprise was able to provide high-quality practical training for students of the specialty «Food Technology». The students mastered the skills of pasteurization, homogenization, determination of milk quality parameters.
