Objects of research, development or design: Assessing the economic impact of wildlife populations, particularly saigas, on the agricultural sector in Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the project / program: is to conduct an economic assessment of the impact of wild animal populations (saiga) on agriculture and develop organizational and economic measures to reduce damage.
1. Analysis of the number and populations of saigas, as well as measures for their regulation at the present stage.
2. A comprehensive analysis of the current situation, problems and losses, as well as an assessment of the costs of restoring agricultural production from the negative impact of saiga populations in the regions.
3. To develop a methodology for determining the loss of productivity of agricultural land due to the loss of saiga and the principles of subsidizing costs.
4. To offer economically sound recommendations for farmers and agricultural enterprises to manage the risks associated with the spread of saiga populations.
5. Develop a system for managing saiga populations and ways to minimize risks and losses for agricultural producers, as well as maximize the use of resources obtained as a result of regulating their numbers.
6. Development of mathematical models for forecasting the dynamics of saiga populations in the West Kazakhstan region and assessment of their impact on agricultural production.
1. A comprehensive analysis of the size and distribution of saiga populations will be carried out, and the effectiveness of existing measures to regulate them will be evaluated.
2. A comprehensive analysis of the economic losses and costs associated with the restoration of agricultural production in different regions caused by the negative impact of saiga populations will be carried out.
3. A methodology will be developed to assess the loss of agricultural productivity caused by saigas. This will provide an accurate quantification of the impact of these animals on crop yields and agricultural efficiency. In addition, it is planned to develop subsidy principles to compensate farmers for these losses, which will help to mitigate the financial impact on the agricultural sector.
4. Economically sound recommendations will be developed for farmers and agricultural enterprises to manage the risks associated with the spread of saiga populations. These recommendations will aim to reduce damage and increase the resilience of the agricultural sector, ensuring more efficient and informed resource management.
5. Mathematical models will be developed specifically to predict changes in saiga populations in West Kazakhstan Oblast. These models will also assess the impact of these changes on agricultural production in the region.
6. A comprehensive saiga population management system will be established, which includes measures to minimize the risks and losses experienced by agricultural producers due to the actions of these animals.
