Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University held a meeting with business entities in offline and online formats. The event was attended by agricultural producers and industry representatives from West Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and Turkestan regions.
During the meeting, Head of the Centre for Technological Development A.M. Kazambayeva spoke about the main global and Kazakhstani trends in the production of products, provision of services and the impact of innovation on the development of entrepreneurship in the country.
Head of the Office of Technology Commercialisation and Business Incubation G.A. Aiesheva also introduced regional business representatives to the types and mechanisms of grant financing of RSSTA commercialisation and other innovation grants in Kazakhstan.
Deputy Director of ‘Aknazar-Zhaiyk’ LLP (West Kazakhstan region) A.S. Ihsangali told about successful experience of commercialisation project implementation on cultivation of high-protein fodder crops on irrigation in dry-steppe zone. And also representatives of business entities of Pavlodar and Turkestan regions A.B. Kozhabekov and M.A. Dauletov told about their plans to participate in the Competition for grant financing of technology commercialisation projects and about the preparatory work done so far.
As a result of the discussion of the main problems of business and science development, it was decided to create the Business Partners Club. This club will be a platform for interaction between the university community and business aimed at the development of commercialisation and technology transfer, as well as support for sustainable projects and start-ups.
The Business Partners Club of WKATU named after Zhangir Khan is created to promptly resolve organisational issues within the framework of cooperation with the university, to present RSSTA commercialisation projects to potential business partners, as well as to provide information on events.
Main tasks:
– To ensure exchange of experience between the Club members on commercialisation of RSSTA.
– Assistance in the development of a sustainable system of business partnership on RSSTA commercialisation projects.
– Development of mutually beneficial co-operation between domestic science and business.
– Assistance in training and professional development of Club members, etc.
Membership in the Business Partners Club also provides a number of advantages, such as business involvement in the RSSTA commercialisation process and participation in other scientific and technological projects aimed at business development and innovation implementation; search for solutions to technological areas and problems of interest to companies; access to a portfolio of innovative projects and business incubation and accelerator programmes that promote the development of start-ups, joint ventures and technological entrepreneurship in general; participation in roundtables, hackathons, and other events.
Business clubs play an important role in supporting and developing entrepreneurship in the country, providing their members with unique opportunities for growth and development. Participation in such clubs provides access to valuable resources, contacts and knowledge necessary for successful business in today’s dynamic environment. Thus, the creation of the Business Partners Club will become the basis for establishing links and mutually beneficial co-operation between science and business, which, in turn, will increase the competitiveness of entrepreneurship in the regions and in the country as a whole.
