Which digital skills help to adapt to the modern labor market?

Digital skills play a key role in helping students adapt to the modern labor market. Students acquire skills in working with office software, online platforms, and databases, which prepares them for the digital business environment. Thanks to Moodle, Zoom, and electronic libraries, students develop independence and flexibility in learning. They also improve their soft skills, such as communication, time management, and digital ethics. Working in online teams and submitting projects through digital platforms fosters modern professional qualities.

During internships in modern, digitalized companies of the West Kazakhstan region such as LLP “Poima Oil and Fat Plant”, LLP “Beles Agro”, LLP “Uralsk Transformer Plant”, JSC “West Kazakhstan Machine-Building Company”, students acquire practical skills of working with modern digital systems actively implemented in these enterprises. They also gain such experience in JSC “Bank CenterCredit”, JSC “Jusan Bank”, JSC “Home Credit Bank”, and LLP “IT Group Kazakhstan”.

During internships, students gain experience with automated production lines, digital document management, and electronic reporting platforms. They become familiar with industrial safety technologies and quality control through digital sensors and software, as well as the collection, processing and analysis of production data. Students develop digital communication skills, including reporting, online interaction with departments, and the use of digital tools in real environments — from automated systems to industrial software. They also practice working with internet banking and corporate information systems, using electronic document management systems, performing data analysis, and working with Excel, customer databases, and reporting. Additionally, students are introduced to cybersecurity technologies, electronic signatures, and business digital communication tools (email, Zoom, corporate messengers).

Working with clients through digital channels, preparing and verifying electronic documents, using financial applications and terminals, supporting payments, reports, and operations.

Thanks to this experience, students:

– Improve their digital literacy

– Easily adapt to the requirements of Industry 4.0

– Gain competitive advantages in the labor market
