The traditional spartakiad of the winter sports games «Денсаулық-2024» has started at Zhangir khan university.
The opening ceremony of the spartakiad was attended by board members, head of the Ural city department of physical culture and sports Armat Isanov, senior men’s volleyball coach of the West Kazakhstan region Sergey Safronov, sports veterans, directors of institutes and centers.
Vice-rector for educational and social work of the university Akylbek Sultanov and head of the city department of physical culture and sports Armat Isanov addressed the teams with a welcoming speech.
This year more than 200 people are taking part in the winter sports spartakiad as part of 7 teams consisting of teachers and university staff. They will compete with each other in such sports as volleyball, basketball, futsal, ski relay, table tennis, pair table tennis, chess, arm wrestling, air rifle shooting, tug of war, fun starts.
