The results of the environmental campaign “Clean City by the hands of youth”, held in an online format, became known at Zhangir khan university.
Teachers and students of the Industrial Ecology educational program, as well as 71 students from 10 schools of the city, took an active part in the action. This initiative was aimed at attracting the attention of youth to current environmental issues and forming a responsible attitude to the environment, which corresponds to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the UN.
During the action, the participants not only planted tree saplings and installed birdhouses, but also took part in a quiz, during which they deepened their knowledge about the importance of ecology, sustainable development and the personal contribution of everyone to the preservation of nature. The coordinator of the event held an informative talk about the impact of plastic on the environment, its recycling and the importance of responsible consumption.
In addition, the events focused attention on the need for separate collection of waste, inspiring young people to make informed decisions and spread the acquired knowledge among their peers.
The participation of 71 students from 10 schools testifies to the high interest of young people in environmental initiatives and their willingness to work for the benefit of the city and the planet. This action became not only a practical contribution to the beautification of our campus, but also a significant social event that united schoolchildren in an effort to improve the environmental situation in our region. We are sure that such events will become a constant practice, helping to promote the ideas of sustainable development and the formation of a careful attitude to nature.
