Field practice-oriented classes for students of the specialties “Oil and Gas Business” and “Chemical Engineering and Processes” were held

The Higher School of Oil, Gas and Chemical Engineering organized for students of the educational programs “Oil and Gas Business” and “Chemical Technology of Organic Substances” practice-oriented classes with a visit to the enterprise of JSC “Condensate” in the city of Aksai and a trip to the territory of the base of JSC “Uralskneftegazgeologia” “.

On September 28-29, practice-oriented classes were held for 4th-year students in the disciplines “Transport and storage of oil and gas”, “Gathering and preparation of oil and gas wells”, “Chemotology of fuels and analysis of oil and gas”, “Advanced and catalytic processes of refining of petroleum products” – with a trip to the city Aksai to the “Condensate” refinery. The students got acquainted with the safety instructions, after which, under the guidance of a representative from the enterprise and responsible teachers, the students got the tour in the oil refinery. During the tour, students were given lectures on the topics “Integrated oil treatment”, “Oil storage”, “Reservoirs and equipment of reservoirs”, “Oil stabilization”, “Operation of the rectification column”, etc.

From 6th to 8th October, on the basis of “Uralskneftegazgeologia” JSC, practice-oriented classes were held for 3rd -4th  year students, organized by teachers of the Higher School of Oil, Gas and Chemical Engineering and a representative of the company chief mechanic, Abdulov Bolat Kairatovich. Practice-oriented classes were held in the disciplines “Technique and technology of oil production”, “Transport and storage of oil and gas”, “Collection and preparation of oil and gas wells”, “Well repair”. An introductory lecture was conducted by the chief mechanic of JSC “Uralskneftegazgeologia” Abdulov Bolat Kairatovich and leading teachers of special disciplines Kupeshova A.S., Sataeva S.S., Dzhusupkalieva R.I., Abdygalieva A.K., Kenzhegalieva ZН.T., Naurzbekova A.ZН. As well as undergraduates Sagadatova G.T. and Sapiev E.S. The students got acquainted with the structure of the enterprise, material and technical base, with drilling and field equipment, with innovative developments in the field of drilling, protection of drill pipes from corrosive wear and with the automated drive “TOP Drive” carrying out repair work, with the design of preventers of various capacities, etc.

The classes were intense, the students were interested in seeing visual equipment, they got more accurate ideas about technological processes, so they had the opportunity to understand the essence of their future profession.
