On April 13, in honor of the Professional Geologists Day and the 123rd anniversary of the chief geologist-scientist of Kazakhstan Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev, the high school of oil, gas and chemical engineering held an event «My profession is a geologist».
The event was attended by 1st year students of the educational program 6B07204 – «Geology and exploration of mineral deposits». The head of the high school B.E. Khamzina spoke and wished good luck to future geologists. There were also questions for freshmen and the values of the profession of geologist. An exhibition was organized to arouse interest in the profession. The exhibition featured books, magazines, minerals and rocks.
