A problem lecture was held

On October 25,  a problem lecture on the disciplines “Lubricant production technology” and “Advanced and catalytic processes for the production of petroleum fuel” was held at the Higher School “Oil, Gas and Chemical Engineering” with students from groups HTOV-41, NGDB-41. Responsible teachers: Ph.D., associate professor Almagambetova M.Zh., Ph.D., associate professor Sataeva S.S.

            The lesson was conducted by the controller of technological installations of Tengizchevroil LLP Yerkebulan Smagulov.

The problem lecture was held on the following topics: “Compounding of fuel components”, “Secondary processes for the production of petroleum fuels and their improvement.”

The following issues were considered:

– explanation of the conditions and principles of compounding; analysis of the characteristics of the process, depending on raw materials;

– secondary processes for the production of fuel oil: thermal cracking, pyrolysis, coking (possibilities for improving the process).

The lecturer introduced the students to the current and future requirements for the quality of motor fuel; on the role, significance and direction of improving technological processes; about effective ways of solving urgent problems of deep oil refining and improving the quality of motor fuels. He also outlined in detail the generally accepted concepts of the theory of technological processes of oil refining into motor fuels, which are introduced in production.

Conducting such lectures contributes to the application of the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities in the subsequent professional activities of students.
