Higher School of Information Technologies

The School of Information Technology trains specialists in the following educational programs:

Bachelor 6B06100 – “Information systems and technologies”

Master’s degree 7M06100 – scientific and pedagogical direction “Information systems and technologies”, 7M06110 – profile direction “Information systems and technologies”.

Educational program training of highly qualified specialists in the field of design, development, implementation, maintenance and operation of information systems of various profiles, including mathematical, informational, software, linguistic, technical and organizational support of information systems.

The mission of the educational program is to provide the needs of society and the state with a new generation of human and human resources in the field of information technology, as well as continuous support for sustainable development of innovative economy of Western Kazakhstan, including subsystems of education and science.

Research activities in high school are carried out within the research of the whole university. Work is underway in several scientific areas. The university conducts active research on various aspects of the design of information processing and management systems. The projects are being implemented on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. High school students and undergraduates are actively involved in research.

Research topic: “Planning and development of IT infrastructure of the university to solve management problems”

The purpose of the research: to develop a reliable, modern, adapted, flexible and functional IT-infrastructure of the university to improve the management of the entire range of information resources, as well as to ensure that the IT-infrastructure meets the strategic goals of the university.

On the basis of the Higher School of Information Technology there are 3 clubs for university students: “Multimedia Technologies”, “Programming Technology” and “Robotics”.

Participants of the circle “Programming Technology” are undergraduate students majoring in “Information Systems”. Within the framework of this circle, the Olympiad in programming at the high school level is held annually in 2 rounds. Olympiad winners took part in the Republican Olympiad in programming among technical universities.

The circle “Robotics” will work from the 2019-2020 academic year. This was facilitated by the opening of the “Robotics” laboratory.

Within the framework of the circle “Multimedia Technologies” students annually participate in various national and international Olympiads and competitions.
