A round table on «Independence is the main value of our people» was held at Zhangir Khan University.
Vice-rector for Educational and Social Work Akylbek Sultanov, opening the event, stressed the importance of Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and urged young people to take care of our national value. The round table was organized by teachers of the Faculty of Humanities, Sports and Military Training. During the meeting, reports on the following topics were heard: «Kazakhstan’s foreign policy during the years of Independence», «Asan kaigi as the founder of Kazakhstan’s statehood», «The beginning of Independence – the events of December», «Alash ideas and Independence: continuity and lessons», «Youth – the future of an independent state». It has been repeatedly noted that the achievement of independence and the successes of modern Kazakhstan were the result of great work and trials that befell our people. Students of the Faculty of Humanities, Sports and Military Training Sayat Targyn and Nurzhigit Gissatdin expressively read poems about the Independence of the country.
