Today, Zhangir Khan University hosted a historical and educational round table entitled «Chronicle of Independence», dedicated to the celebration of Republic Day on October 25.
The event was attended by Vice-rector for Educational and Social Work Akylbek Sultanov, faculty and students.
During the round table, senior lecturer at the Center for Teaching Humanities and Sports Disciplines, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Maksot Dzhanguzhiev made a presentation on the topic «Declaration of State Sovereignty — the basis of Kazakhstan’s statehood» and noted that this year marks the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty. A lecturer, doctoral student Mukhtar Suleimenov analyzed the achievements during the years of independence.
The purpose of the historical and educational event is to awaken national consciousness among young people, form patriotic qualities, and strengthen their civic position through discussion of key events on the path to becoming an independent state.
