On April 18, an environmental forum was held, dedicated to environmental issues, including water scarcity. The forum was held on the basis of the corner «Аmerican Corner Oral». The forum was actively attended by teachers of the higher school of animal husbandry and bioresources of Zhangir Khan university G.Z.Kairgalieva, Zh.M.Gumarova, A.A.Bulekova, Zh.R.Sharafieva, Sandugash.S, as well as students of the 2nd, 3rd year of the educational program «Industrial Ecology».
The forum was hosted by Kirill Osin, head of the NGO «Eco Mangistau». At the meeting, special attention was paid to issues of water scarcity, including water consumption and water supply. Since the forum was held in an informal atmosphere, freedom of speech was not prohibited, but it aroused active interest.
Representatives of the ecoclub «EcoHab», students, teachers, representative of LLP «Uralsk clean service» S.O.Ayupov, representative of LLP «Altyn Alma stroy» M.K.Nurmukhambetova and head of the regional «EcoHab», expert on sustainable development A.N.Yelemesova expressed their views in the format of «city conversations». Issues related to the supply of circulating water, open septic tanks, wells, as well as the ingress of sewage into underground, surface waters and other issues were touched upon. At the meeting, the opinions of respondents on environmental issues of the region were analyzed. Many of the opinions of the participants and respondents coincided and noted that it is necessary to decide without postponing. Environmental problems are not solved gradually, they need to be solved both economically and politically.
