The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), an international ranking consultancy, has published the QS EECA University Ranking 2022 (ranking of the top Eastern European and Central Asian universities)
The 450 universities of the region were included in the rating of the best universities. The West Kazakhstan Zhangir Khan Agrarian and Technical University managed to maintain its last year’s position at 351-400 among universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
To compile the rating, the QS has been using such indicators as the academic reputation, the employability, the ratio of the number of teachers and students, the number of publications per faculty member. Also, the ranking system managers has been making an estimate of the number of citations of the university, the quantity and proportion of the foreign lecturers and foreign students, the percentage of the lecturers with an academic degree, the international scientific relations and webometrics.
