Today, at the West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University named after Zhangir Khan, in accordance with the annual tradition, a sports event “Sergek Bol!” was held among 1st-year students. Speaking at the grand opening of the sports event, Vice-rector for Educational and Social Work of the University Akylbek Sultanov noted the importance of the event. He also expressed confidence that the young people who joined the ranks of students this year will actively participate in all events. Artur Shergaliev, the head of the Ural City Department of Physical Culture and Sports, who was present at the event, noted that Zhangir Khan University educates student-athletes who defend the honor of the region in prestigious competitions. Students together with the coach of the sports project “AulaFit” Zhamila Tuleugalieva conducted morning exercises. Then the event continued with sports competitions organized by the Zhangir Khan Sports Complex.
According to the director of the sports club Ruslan Kuanov, five masters of sports, about 50 candidates of the master of sports, about 100 athletes of various categories are trained at the educational institution.
