The annual national ranking of the best technical universities of Kazakhstan-2021, conducted by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education – Rating (IQAA-Ranking), our university took the 8th place (https://iqaa-ranking.kz/, «Казахстанская правда») (2020 – the 8th place), averaging 63,95%. The final grade of the university consisted of five criteria:
1) Academic activity and employment results (student enrollment rating, rating according to the results of student learning and the number of educational programs, academic staff rating (faculty and research staff), research and innovation rating, international cooperation rating, information management rating, rating on the results of employment and graduate achievements) – 47,98%;
2) Expert assessment – 4,89%;
3) Employers reputation – 4,46%;
4) Students’ evaluation – 3, 40%;
5) Graduates’ evaluation – 3,22%.
The reputation of the university is its main factor in competitive success in the national educational market. In this process, ratings play a key role, getting to the leading places; the university dramatically increases its attractiveness not only for applicants, but also for employers.
