SDG 11. Sustainable cities and human settlements consists of 7 national indicators (https://stat.gov.kz/ru/sustainable-development-goals/goal/11/). For this purpose, there is a positive trend in indicators. There is a moderate increase in housing availability per resident. If in 2018 the value of this indicator was 21.9 square meters, then in 2023 it reached 23.9 square meters, an increase of 9.1%. The Auyl – El Besigi program was launched to develop infrastructure in villages. The share of solid household waste recycling increased from 14.9% (2019) to 21.1% (2023). In cities, waste disposal services cover 100% of the population, in rural areas less than 70%.
The university implements this goal by providing equal opportunities for students and employees who do not have housing in Uralsk to live in dormitories and in houses for teachers. The University follows the concept of a “green” campus that meets the requirements of international standards for comfortable and safe housing.
