Reduced inequalities

SDG 10. Reducing inequality consists of 9 national indicators (https://stat.gov.kz/ru/sustainable-development-goals/goal/10/).  In recent years, there has been a negative trend in some indicators. In 2023, the share of people with incomes below 50% of the median income in the Republic of Kazakhstan increased. The value of this indicator increased from 3.7% in 2022 to 4.1% in 2023. A digital family card has been launched, covering 195 million people, automating social support.

The University implements this goal through:

• The development and implementation of courses and trainings aimed at raising awareness of equality, diversity and inclusivity among students and staff.

• Creation and support of student organizations and initiatives that represent the interests of various groups, including, but not limited to, ethnic minorities and people with disabilities.

• Regular monitoring and assessment of the state of equality, diversity and inclusivity at the university, including the collection and analysis of data on the composition of students and staff, as well as their experiences.

• Publication of annual progress reports on equality, diversity and inclusivity, which will be accessible to all stakeholders. This will ensure transparency and accountability in our actions.
