Young wrestlers met on the mat

The final stage of the republican league on “Kazakh kuresi” among students of higher educational institutions was held at the Zhangir Khan university.

The two-day wrestling competition was attended by the Kazakh national pedagogical university named after Abai, Kazakh national university named after Al-Farabi, Kostanay regional university named after A. Baitursynova, Pavlodar pedagogical university, International kazakh-turkish university named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, Aktobe regional university named after. K. Zhubanova and West Kazakhstan agrarian and technical university named after. Zhangir Khan.

56 male wrestlers and 28 female wrestlers took part in a two-day fight as part of teams from 7 educational institutions. According to the results of the competition, two victories among men and girls were won by the International kazakh-turkish university named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. 2nd place was taken by the men’s and women’s teams of the Kazakh national pedagogical university named after Abai. The men’s team of Aktobe regional university named after. K. Zhubanova took 3rd place, and a girls’s team from Zhangir khan university. Also, students of Zhangir Khan Adilbek Seisov and Riza Suleimenova were awarded in the nomination “For the best technique”. In the nomination “For the will to win” the student of Kostanay regional university named after A. Baitursynov Yelshat Kurbanov and the student of Pavlodar pedagogical university Gaukhar Omar were awarded.

Recall that the Republican League among university students was organized by the city department of sports and physical culture of Uralsk, the sports complex “Zhangir Khan” and the association “Kazakh Kures” WKR with the support of the “National scientific and practical center of physical culture” under the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
