There was an open lecture

Today at the Institute of «Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry» there was a lecture on «Birds and threats to them» within the project «Students for nature».

The lecture was organized by «Kazakhstan Biodiversity Conservation Association» in partnership with «Chevron». Director of the Institute Birzhan Nurgaliyev made a speech and introduced the guests for the purpose of an open lecture.

As noted Birzhan Elubaevich, – Known to our country «Kazakhstan Biodiversity Conservation Association» has been maintaining close relations with the university for many years. For several years, our scientists have worked together on a project to study saiga. I think today’s topic will interest our students and scientists.

The open lecture was given by the leading scientific specialist Ruslan Orazaliev. According to the coordinator of the program, Enlik Kairsynova, the project calls on students to preserve and protect nature.

– Works consisting of several stages, begin with the reading of open lectures. As a result, for active students interested in the topic, there is an opportunity to continue this work and organize trainings, field trips, – said the program coordinator.

Seven universities of Kazakhstan have been selected for this project. One of them – WKAU named after Zhangir Khan.

The project started with the call «Save the wildlife together!» is planned to continue for a year.
