On April 29, Minister of science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek arrived at the Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan agrarian and technical university. The Minister visited the educational and scientific base of the educational institution, met with young people and scientists.
First, the Minister, together with the rector of Zhangir Khan university, Askar Nametov, got acquainted with the work of the «Jardem-Vet» educational, scientific and production center, the laboratory of ichthyology and aquaculture, the scientific laboratories of the testing center, the center for the development of youth initiatives and the «Zhangir Khan» sports club. In addition, he visited the exhibition work in the fields of science and education and was informed about the economic indicators of the university’s development, the quality of education, the work carried out in scientific areas. After that, the Minister met with young people and scientists.
This ministry intends to cooperate and support universities regardless of their status and level. Efforts are being made to attract more young people to the field of science, study topical issues of the industry, and promote targeted spending of allocated funds. That is, in our country, special attention is paid to the activation of science. This was announced during the meeting by the Minister of science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek.
– Currently radical changes are taking place in the fields of agriculture, biotechnology, biomedicine, genetics, and breeding. To be aware of these changes and news, it is necessary first of all to know the language. Because articles, research, and projects in these areas are written in English. At a meeting of the National council for science and technology, the head of state said that the model of science will change in the country. Now, in the next 5-7 years, the emphasis will be on university science. Among them, the main directions will be the training of scientific personnel, strengthening the work of laboratories, improving the quality of publications, opening new scientific directions, transition to applied commercialization projects, the minister said, positively assessing the scientific potential of the university. «In this regard, the head of the university is experienced, the educational institution has established contacts with production centers, you have small innovative productions. The work should be continued in this direction» said Sayasat Nurbek.
In addition, the Minister awarded the university scientists who have contributed to the development of science. The badge «For merits in the development of science» was awarded to the director of the Institute of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry Birzhan Nurgaliyev, specialists of the department of science Gulshat Ayesheva and Aruzhan Nugmanova, head of the higher school «Production technology» Ergali Ayupov, head of the educational, scientific and production center «Jardem-Vet» Bekzhasar Sidikhov received a Certificate of honor from the Ministry of science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Diplomas were also awarded to two scientists: the director of the testing center, Indira Beishova, became a doctor of biological sciences, and associate professor of the higher school of «Veterinary and biological safety», Svetlana Bayantasova, was awarded the title of «candidate of veterinary sciences».
