An analysis hour of Mirzhakip Dulatov’s novel “The Unfortunate Jamal” was held at Zhangir Khan University as part of the republican project «100 Books.»
The literary event, jointly organized by the Parasat Information and Educational Center and the University’s Language Development Center, was dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the public figure, poet, and writer M. Dulatov. During the event, students learned about the history of writing the first novel in Kazakh literature – «The Unfortunate Jamal» – as well as about the author’s life and creative path. In addition, excerpts from the stage play “The Unfortunate Jamal” were presented, and participants discussed the differences between the novel and its theatrical adaptation. At the end of the evening, they answered questions and shared their opinions.
M. Dulatov’s novel «The Unfortunate Jamal» is one of the works selected through the national survey «100 Books.»
