Khiyasov Madiyar and Kubzhasarov Kairat, who passed the acceleration training program of the Zhangir Khan WKAU business incubator “West Startup Incubator” with projects, respectively, on the processing of organic waste and renewable energy sources, took part in the competitive selection for the GCIP-Kazakhstan international project and win the acceleration.
The GCIP-Kazakhstan project started in April 2023. The main goal of the SIP-Kazakhstan project is to promote innovations, support SME projects (small and medium-sized businesses), startups in the field of green technologies to create green jobs in Kazakhstan. The grant was allocated to Kazakhstan by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), with the assistance of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
The competition was held in 7 areas: renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, efficient use of water, waste management, advanced chemicals and materials, transport, green construction.
