In the West Kazakhstan Agrarian-Technical University named after Zhangir khan there was a meeting with representatives of Shell Kazakhstan company. The meeting was attended by Rector of the University Askar Nametov, Senior Vice President and Chairman of Shell Kazakhstan Herman Burmeister and employees of the company, management of the university and representatives of KPO company.
The parties discussed the issues of cooperation between Zhangir Khan and Shell Kazakhstan company and exchanged views.
The project is aimed at the modernization of the educational program on Chemical Engineering in WCAU in accordance with the latest methodologies. It is expected that the project will help to increase employment opportunities for graduates in international engineering companies and large oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan, as well as to improve the quality of the educational program to meet the requirements of future employers to recruit graduates. This will also increase the flow of students to the University.
At the end of the meeting, West Kazakhstan Agrarian – Technical University and Shell Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The main objective of the Memorandum is to establish and expand effective cooperation between the parties to assist in the development of human capital in the oil and gas industry of the country.
