West Kazakhstan agrarian technical university named after Zhangir Khan together with the Ufa state oil and gas university opened the alley «Достық-Дуҫлыҡ». The opening ceremony of the alley was organized on the ZOOM platform online.
The opening ceremony began with the introductory words of the Chairman of the Board-Rector Askar Myrzakhmetovich Nametov:
«Today we have a significant event. We are moving with you to a new result of our friendship and our relations. In every society there is this tendency: every person has to build a house, raise children, plant a tree. Home is our educational institutions, children are our students, and planting a tree is a sign of our friendship. Regardless of the distance, we strengthen the friendship between the two universities, – said Askar Myrzakhmetovich.
In turn, the rector of the Ufa state oil and gas university, Oleg Baulin, noted that partnerships between Kazakh and Russian educational institutions began several years ago.
– Every year we organize new events, looking for new formats, new initiatives that will allow us to better understand and get to know each other. Most importantly, these works are aimed at improving the quality of knowledge and development of our students. In the direction of our main building, thousands of students passing by the alley that has been opened every day will read the signs with the inscription of your university and learn about your educational institution. In addition, we have Kazakh students who study at our university. Schoolchildren and veterans take part in our event,” the rector of the university noted, emphasizing that this procedure forms the continuity of generations.
Institute director, Professor Sarsenbek Montaev and Chairman of the Committee on Youth Affairs Temirlan Tazhen, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Ufa university Marcel Islamov and Chairman of the Kazakh Diaspora Almat Zhusupbekov spoke at the opening ceremony of the alley, who expressed confidence that this symbolic step would contribute to the continuation of cooperation in the field of higher education and science.
After the solemn event, the staff and students of both universities planted the first tree seedlings on the «Достық-Дуҫлыҡ» alley. So in one day, a double alley appeared in the universities of the two countries as a symbol of strong friendship.
