Farmers of Kazakhstan met in WKAU

A seminar on “Technologies in horse breeding” was held at Zhangir Khan University, organized by the project office of the «AGROTECH HUB».

The event is aimed at improving the skills of specialists of agricultural enterprises, peasant farms in accordance with the agreement between the National Center for Agrarian Research and Education and the Zhangir Khan WKAU. In addition to the West Kazakhstan region, the seminar was attended by representatives of large farms from Atyrau and Aktobe regions, which have been engaged in the cultivation of Kushum horses for many years, as well as novice farmers. Specialists from Pavlodar and Nur-Sultan also joined the seminar in an online format.

During the seminar, a well-known scientist, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Altai Zinullin, director of the University’s testing center, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Doctor of Biological Sciences, associate Professor Indira Beishova, head of the laboratory of the testing center Alexander Kovalchuk told about the rules of sorting and mating animals, issues of breeding records, evaluation, as well as genetic research of horse breeds, work with a common database, shared useful and necessary information with participants. In the afternoon, the practical part of the seminar continued at the farm “Ryszhan”, engaged in horse breeding in the rural district “Kushum”.
