The XXVI International Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic “Meat Livestock Farming: Science, Technologies, Sustainable Development” was held at Zhangir Khan University.
The traditional conference, organized within the framework of the Month of Science, was this time dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Kazakh White-Headed cattle breed. The plenary session of the conference was attended by Chairman of the Board–Rector of the University Askar Nametov, Director of the Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Baglan Aimyrzayev, Deputy Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region Kaliyair Aitmukhambetov, representatives of the agricultural sector, as well as scientists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, and Russia.
During the meeting, the scientists discussed the role of beef cattle breeds in the comprehensive livestock development plan for 2026–2035, the current state and future prospects of the Kazakh White-Headed breed, DNA technologies as a tool for enhancing genetic potential in beef cattle breeding, line breeding in beef production, mobile production of organic fertilizers through the accelerated processing of agricultural waste, artificial insemination of cattle, as well as other актуальные issues in agriculture, and exchanged experience.
The conference continued with sectional sessions: “Agricultural Sciences,” “Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry,” “Technical Sciences,” and “Humanities and Economic Sciences.”
