Today, a lecture on the basics of religious literacy was held at Zhangir Khan University.
After visiting our university, a specialist theologian of the center for the study of problems of religions of the Department for Religious Affairs of the West Kazakhstan Region, Bagdat Adayhan, met with students in order to improve their religious literacy and spoke on the topic of religious legislation, explained prevention measures against destructive religious movements. The religious scholar noted that low religious literacy leads to the fact that young people go astray, therefore, when receiving any information, it is necessary to exercise special caution.
The representative of the religious sphere also noted: – It is necessary to avoid misinformation spread through social networks. Simple actions, such as their storage or distribution, are contrary to the law, in most cases they lead to criminal liability, ” he added.
At the end of the meeting, the students received answers to their questions on the topic of religion.
