SDG 3. Good health and well-being consists of 25 national indicators (https://stat.gov.kz/ru/sustainable-development-goals/goal/3/). Overall, there is an improvement in about 15 indicators. By the end of 2023, the maternal mortality rate was 11.4 per 100,000 live births, which is significantly lower than in previous years. It is worth noting that this is the lowest value of the indicator for the entire period of independence of Kazakhstan. The level of 12 neonatal deaths has also decreased. In 2023, the value of this indicator was 4.2 cases per 1,000 births, which is 17.7% lower than in 2021. The number of new HIV infections (indicator 3.3.1) in 2022 and 2023 remained at the level of 0.20 cases per 1,000 uninfected, which is slightly more than in 2018 (0.17).
