Decent work and economic growth
SDG 8. Decent work and economic growth consists of 14 national indicators (https://stat.gov.kz/ru/sustainable-development-goals/goal/8/). Overall, there is an increase in many indicators. In 2023, the annual growth rate of real GDP per employee was 104.7%. In recent years, the share of GVA directly in tourism in GDP by the end of 2022 amounted to 1%, which is significantly higher than in previous years (2020 – 0.6%, 2021 – 0.7%). In 2023, the unemployment rate in the country was 4.7%, which is the lowest in the period under review. The level of occupational injuries decreased by 6.3%, and a digital map of enterprises was introduced to analyze production capacities.
The University equally ensures decent working conditions for employees, as well as guarantees equality in fair pay, regardless of gender. The University promotes the employment of graduates.
