The international rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has published the QS EECA University Ranking 2021 of the best universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
More than 900 universities were evaluated, and only 400 universities were published in the rating. West Kazakhstan Zhangir Khan Agrarian Technical University entered the top 400 universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The QS EECA 2021 rating evaluates universities according to 10 criteria: the academic reputation (30%), the reputation among employers (20%), the ratio of research and teaching staff to students (10%), the number of Scopus publications and their citation (5%), the international scientific relations (10%), the university’s influence in the Internet (5%), the share of employees with PhD degree (5%), the share of foreign employees (2.5%) and students (2.5%).
