A conference will be held dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the kushum horse bree

Dear colleagues,

Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University will hold the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Heritage of the Great Steppe” on August 6, 2026, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Kushum horse breed.

The conference is organized within the framework of program-targeted funding of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the scientific and technical program BR22887106 “Application of molecular genetic methods for horse genetic resources management optimization and efficient horse breeding innovative technologies development”.

Domestic and foreign scientists, teachers, doctoral students, and master’s students are invited to participate in the conference.

The conference will include the following sections:

Sports horse breeding

– Productive horse breeding

Working languages: Kazakh, Russian, English

Articles must have at least 70% originality (checked via the Antiplagiarism system).

Note: Articles translated using machine translation with significant grammatical, spelling, and stylistic errors, and those not meeting the stated requirements, will not be accepted for publication.

Only original articles corresponding to the journal’s scientific areas and not previously published elsewhere will be accepted.

When preparing articles, authors are advised to follow GOST 7.1-2003 “Bibliographic record. Bibliographic description. General requirements and rules,” adopted by the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology, and Certification (Protocol No. 12 of July 2, 2003).

Submission Requirements

Each author must submit the following as separate documents:

1. Article materials (Word format file), including: Author(s) names and initials, Title of the article, Abstract and keywords in Kazakh, Russian, and English, References (in original language, English, and transliteration), Figures and tables with captions.

2. Author information, including: Full name, Academic degree and title, Position or profession, Specialty and code, Place of work (institution name, city, address), Country (for foreign authors), Email, Phone number.

Article Requirements:

– Length: 5–8 pages

– Font: Times New Roman, size 11

– Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

– Paragraph indent: 1.0 cm

– Line spacing: 1

Sequence of Elements for the Publication Formatting of Materials:

1 UDC and IRSTI index (in accordance with the indexing guidelines available in scientific libraries or freely accessible on the Internet: https://grnti.ru);

2 Information about the authors (surname, initials, academic degree, academic title, full name of the institution where the work was carried out, indicating the city and country), addresses of all authors of the publication (including identification of the corresponding author);

Title of the article (in uppercase letters, bold, font size 11 pt, Times New Roman / Times New Roman KK EK, centered), including the title in English; Sixteen-digit ORCID ID of each author;

3 Abstract (150–300 words) (provided in the language of the article and in English, and also after the “References” section in Kazakh or Russian);

4 Keywords (italic), number of keywords: from 5 to 10;

5 Main text of the article. The scientific article should include: Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Funding information (if available), Acknowledgments, References (at least 12 sources). Each original article (except for social sciences and humanities) must ensure the reproducibility of research results. The methodology should be described, including the origin of equipment and materials, statistical data processing methods, and other means of ensuring reproducibility.

Acknowledgments. This section should list grants or other types of financial support for the research (as well as their sources, if necessary). It should also include thanks to specialists or institutions that assisted in organizing and conducting the research.Do not acknowledge individuals who participated in the review and acceptance of manuscripts, i.e., reviewers, editors, or members of the journal’s editorial board.

References

References should be listed in the order they are cited in the text and formatted in square brackets, for example: [1]. The first reference cited in the text should be numbered [1], the second [2], and so on in sequence. When citing a result from a book, indicate its number in the reference list and (after a comma) the page number where the result is published, for example: [7, p. 157]. When citing results from multiple sources, reference numbers should be separated by a semicolon, for example: [7, p. 157; 8].

The references must be up-to-date, i.e., published within the last 5–7 years (except for fundamental works; at least 70%).

Recent international literature from the Web of Science and/or Scopus databases should account for at least 30% of the total number of references over the past 10 years.

All references listed must be cited in the text, and all cited sources must be included in the reference list.

Transliteration of Russian text into Latin script for the “References” section can be done free of charge using the following websites: http://www.translit.ru/ http://translit-online.ru

These tools do not transliterate specific Kazakh letters. After transliteration, Kazakh text must be manually corrected according to the following rules:

ә → a, ғ → g, ң → n, ө → o, ү → u, ұ → u, қ → k, і → i

Figures and Tables

Graphic materials must be embedded in the text and created using graphic editors. Figure captions should include explanations of all symbols used.

Tables must be numbered sequentially and have titles.

Maximum allowed: 5 tables and 5 figures.
