At the Industrial and Technological Institute of Zhangir Khan University, another meeting of the student scientific club “GeoOil” was held in the format of a lecture-seminar.
The event was attended by faculty members, representatives of the industrial sector, students, and school pupils. The Director of the Institute, Candidate of Technical Sciences Askar Bakushev, delivered a welcoming speech. Then, Senior Lecturer of the Institute Sholpan Yergaliyeva presented a report on the topic “The Current State of the Oil and Gas Complex of Kazakhstan.”
During the discussion, a member of the regional youth geological club “Sarmat,” student Yekaterina Balandina, organized by the well-known geologist-methodologist Galina Yakimenko, presented information about the work accomplished. Head of the West Kazakhstan Subsoil Inspection Natalia Glazunova spoke about the challenges facing the oil and gas industry.
At the end of the seminar, which was rich in new information, certificates were awarded to the young geologists and their supervisors.
