At Zhangir Khan University, within the framework of the student club «For a Quality Harvest,» an open scientific and practical session was held on the topic «Measures for Winter Pruning of an Apple Orchard.»
The event was organized by the Acting Associate Professor of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Agrotechnology, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Meiramgul Mussina, along with Gulbaram Nurgaliyeva and Nurbulat Zhanatalapov. Students of the 1st and 3rd years of the Agronomy educational program actively participated in the event. During the club session, the nursery supervisor Meiramgul Mussina provided a detailed explanation of the physiological state of fruit trees during the winter period, as well as scientifically substantiated methods of winter pruning of apple trees. In addition, valuable practical information was presented on the main diseases of apple trees and measures to control them. The open class enabled students to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience and made a significant contribution to enhancing the professional competencies of future specialists.
