The appointment
A reserve officer who has completed military training in the specialty "Combat Employment of Ground Artillery Units, Subunits, and Formations" is intended for service during both peacetime and wartime in artillery units and subunits, holding initial officer positions.
Qualification Requirements
A reserve officer must:
  • have a high level of tactical, tactical-special, military-technical and general military training;
  • possess solid knowledge of basic and specialized disciplines, skills in applying this knowledge in practice;
  • be able to maintain high combat and mobilization readiness of the unit, firm military discipline and the statutory order, and use the achievements of military pedagogy and psychology in the training and upbringing of subordinates.
As a result of the study, the student must
To know:
  • The purpose, general structure and tactical and technical characteristics of artillery systems and ammunition for them, devices in service with artillery units;
  • basic provisions and rules for the operation, maintenance, conservation and storage of artillery weapons;
  • practical skills in inspection, preparation of guns for firing and marching, saving, storage and rules of operation of artillery weapons.
  • Be able to:
  • maintain high platoon combat readiness;
  • Organize and manage platoon combat operations in various types of combat;
  • manage the platoon during the occupation of the battle formation, firing and changing the battle formation, prepare the material, equipment and weapons for combat use.
  • Develop skills:
  • in the training of a reserve officer, an artilleryman who knows the Rules of combat use of artillery, the Rules of Engagement of Ground Forces units and is able to apply their provisions when solving combat missions by artillery units;
  • maintaining high combat readiness of the platoon.
