2025 г. – 43000000 tg;

2026 г. – 43000000 tg;

Objects of research, development or design:

The source material for the work will be musk ducks and the resulting mulard (English mulard, moulard; derived from the English «muscovy duck», «musky duck» and English «mallard», «mallard»), that is, an interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing drakes of musk ducks with domestic ducks of the Peking white breeds.

The purpose of the project:

The aim of the project is to develop advanced resource–saving technologies for the production of meat and incubation eggs of musk ducks in the West Kazakhstan region.

Project / Program Tasks

To achieve this, scientific and experimental research will be conducted by solving the following and interrelated tasks that require consistent implementation:

1. To study the food supply and chemical composition of the main types of waterfowl feed in the Western region;

2. To form experimental groups of young musk ducks;

3. To develop formulations of musk duck feed mixture;

4. To study the growth and development, safety, and productive indicators of young musk ducks;

5. To study the economically useful, productive and reproductive qualities of musk ducks;

6. To lay eggs for incubation, to study the biological control and hatchability of musk duck eggs;

7. To study the main zootechnical indicators of the resulting young;

8. Get mulards from the musk duck drake and the female Peking white;

9. To form experimental groups of young musk ducks and mulards and to make balanced diets for experimental groups;

10. To study the growth and development, preservation, and productive indicators of young musk ducks and mulards;

11. To study the meat productivity and slaughter indicators of young musk ducks and mulards;

12. To carry out an organoleptic assessment and study the morphological and chemical composition of meat of musk ducks and mulards;

13. Calculate the economic efficiency of the research results.

Achieved Results and Novelty

The scientific novelty of the work. For the first time in the West Kazakhstan region, progressive resource–saving technologies for the production of meat and incubation eggs of waterfowl in the West Kazakhstan region will be developed. Research will be conducted on the production of mulards, on the study of productive, economically useful, reproductive, slaughter qualities of birds, and incubation of eggs of musk ducks.

The practical significance of the project lies in the fact that the developed progressive resource-saving technologies for the production of meat and hatching eggs of musk ducks will allow us to offer additional reserves for increasing meat productivity and the efficiency of hatching eggs production, ensuring high efficiency of duck breeding, in particular, musk ducks and significantly increase the efficiency, competitiveness and productivity of the poultry industry.

Expected Results

The food supply and chemical composition of the main types of waterfowl feed in the Western region will be studied. Monitoring of microclimatic parameters will be carried out with automatic devices for monitoring microclimate parameters;

Hatching eggs and waterfowl will be purchased. Experimental groups of young musk ducks will be formed;

Formulations of feed mixtures for musk ducks will be developed;

The growth and development, safety, and productive indicators of young musk ducks will be studied;

The economically useful, productive and reproductive qualities of musk ducks will be studied;

Eggs will be laid for incubation, biologically controlled using an ovoscope and the hatchability of musk duck eggs will be studied. An egg quality detector will be purchased to study the weight, shell strength, yolk index, and shell thickness.

The main zootechnical indicators of the resulting young will be studied;

Mulards will be obtained from the drake of the musk duck and the female of the Beijing white;

Experimental groups of young musk ducks and mulards will be formed and balanced diets will be compiled with the addition of various compound feeds such as Start, Growth, Finish and dietary supplements;

The growth and development, preservation, and productive indicators of young musk ducks and mulards will be studied;

Meat productivity and slaughter indicators of young musk ducks and mulards will be studied. An infrared analyzer will be purchased for analysis;

An organoleptic assessment will be carried out and the morphological and chemical composition of the meat of musk ducks and mulards will be studied;

The economic efficiency of the research results will be calculated.

At least 2 (two) will be published articles and (or) reviews in peer-reviewed scientific publications indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded of the Web of Science database and (or) having a CiteScore percentile in the Scopus database of at least 50 (fifty); as well as at least 1 (one) article or review in a peer-reviewed foreign or domestic publication recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the publication of the main results of scientific activities.

The objectives of this project directly correspond to the strategic objectives of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of agriculture and food security. Improving the quality and efficiency of poultry production contributes to the development of poultry farming and supports the country’s strategic plans to provide food to the national market of Kazakhstan.

It is planned to publish 1 (one) monograph. The monograph will present an original scientific work and is based on the generalization of the results of its own research within the framework of the project.

As part of the Project, the following scientific, technical, and design documentation will be received:

– 1 (one) methodological recommendation will be developed.

Based on the results of the study, it will be implemented into production and will be confirmed by 1 (one) Implementation Act indicating the achieved economic effect and recommendations for implementation.

Degree of implementation:

The research results of this project can be used in large and small farms, peasant farms, private subsidiary farms and private farmsteads in various regions of Kazakhstan.

The results will meet the social demand for high-quality meat and hatching eggs, ensuring food safety and supporting the food industry. The economic and industrial interest in the results of the program is manifested in increasing the competitiveness of local producers and their ability to compete in the global market.

As a result of the production and consumption of environmentally friendly food products, both social and economic effects will be achieved, which is expressed for consumers – in improving the health of the population, with an increase in consumption of environmentally friendly products, for entrepreneurs – in the possibility of obtaining additional income, while increasing the reserves of meat and poultry meat productivity, for the state as a whole – achieving high indicators characterizing the health of the population.
