Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation between WKATU and Shell Kazakhstan, signed on November 22, 2022, an industrial advisory council was established, which included the first heads of leading engineering enterprises of the oil and gas sector and representatives of the university management.
On April 25, 2023, the first meeting of the Council was held, which was attended by:

Robert Mur, general manager of Fluor Kazakhstan,
Talgat Imangaliyev, general manager of Worley Kazakhstan,

Rinat Khusainov, local content manager Shell Kazakhstan,
Raul Kumar, KPO engineering manager,
Gubashev Nurken Maratovich, deputy chairman of the board-rector-vice-rector for academic affairs of Zhangir Khan WKATU,
Sultanova Zamzagul, director of the career and business partnership center.
During the meeting, issues of interaction of oil and gas companies with Zhangir Khan state technical university on joint work on training personnel for the oil and gas industry, including the preparation of applicants, recommendations for improving the university’s training program in the specialty «Chemical Engineering», guest lectures, etc. were discussed.
