The event «Science month 2024» has started at Zhangir khan university.
Within the framework of the month, the agrotechnological institute hosted a round table on the topic «Protection and quarantine of plants: in the present and future». The event, which was attended by students of the specialties «Plant Protection and quarantine», «Agronomy» was organized by PhD, acting associate professor Laila Kalieva. The round table was opened by vice-rector for scientific work Alzhan Shamshidin. The round table discussed issues related to the state, problems and prospects of the crop industry.
At the beginning of the event, Laila Kalieva gave an overview of the importance and role of plant protection both in the present and in the future. Chief specialist of the state department plant protection inspections of the West Kazakhstan regional territorial inspection of the KGI in the agro-industrial complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Temiraliev and the head of the Ural city territorial inspection A.Talapova made their reports on the phytosanitary situation in the West Kazakhstan region and on the system of work on the identification of quarantine facilities, as a necessary and correct method, including techniques and methods of plant protection, the purpose of which is to influence them against harmful organisms of crops, taking into account the criteria of the harmfulness threshold.
Professor of the Agrotechnological institute, doctor of Agricultural sciences, corresponding member of the National academy of sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.Nasiev and PhD., associate professor M.Gabdulov expressed their opinions that integrated plant protection is a highly effective system for combating harmful objects in the agrobiocenosis and in the future will ensure a guaranteed harvest and quality of agricultural products. Vice-rector for science Alzhan Shamsidin said that further improvement of such a plant protection system is always associated with the transition from crop protection to regulation of the phytosanitary state of agrocenoses.
