Rector’s participation in the Government meeting

The meeting chaired by deputy Prime-minister Serik Zhumangarin, was attended by the heads of affiliated universities of the National agrarian scientific and educational center. This is reported by the official information resource of the Prime minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As you know, in a message dated september 1, 2023year the Head of state instructed to reorganize the National agrarian scientific and educational center into a vertically integrated agrotechnological hub. Currently, representatives of subsidiaries are developing proposals to reorganize the structure of this center. At the government meeting, the rectors of three agricultural universities of Kazakhstan reported on the work done.

Chairman of the board-rector of the West Kazakhstan аgrarian and technical university named after Zhangir Khan Askar Nametov noted that today the educational institution is actively working to introduce scientific achievements into production, conditions have been created for the introduction of scientific developments into practice, all scientific activities are aimed at cooperation with business. – We provide animal genotyping services, contracts have been signed with 60 breeding farms for full scientific support, more than 6.5 thousand genotyping samples have been carried out. On the basis of farms, 4 factory lines of Kazakh white-headed cattle, 1 cross and 2 factory lines of ducks were created on the basis of the Bishkek poultry farm, the Zhanibek type of the Kushum horse breed was created in the «Әлем» farm. We have developed two antiseptic drugs based on phytocomponents for the treatment of wounds in animals and against infectious diseases,-Askar Nametov said. In addition, he focused on other new scientific projects.
