Today, Zhangir Khan University organized a meeting with veterans of the Afghan War dedicated to the Day of the Withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.
The event was organized jointly by the student self-government organization and the staff of the “Military Department” of the university. The meeting was attended by veterans of the Afghan War Askar Kairov, Anatoly Borovsky, Sergey Pungin, Zhardem Moldagaliev.
Students of the “Military Department” made reports on the war in Afghanistan and performed military-patriotic songs. Veterans of the Afghan war told about their difficulties they faced in that battle, and also thanked the leadership of Zhangir Khan University and the staff of the “Military Department” who organized the meeting. At the end of the patriotic meeting, the guests were presented with memorable gifts and letters of thanks. The students who made thematic presentations were awarded diplomas.
