In the academic year 2024-2025, a circle “Landscape design from tracing paper to submission” was organized at Zhangir khan university for students of the educational program 6b08301-Landscape design. Responsible for the circle is the acting associate professor of the institute of veterinary and agrotechnology, PhD Zamzagul Amangeldikyzy.
The proposed program is designed for secondary school students who show a certain interest in the professions of landscape designer. By expanding and deepening their knowledge, students learn the basics of garden design. The classes of the circle are supposed to provide students with a more detailed introduction to the technique of growing certain plants, the main measures for landscaping the garden area, as well as the features of the landscape. Students master the skills of site design, the ability to make projects of various kinds. Students’ introduction to the basics of garden design begins with a study of the literature on the subject. Special attention is paid to the construction of houses, the economics of the garden, the main stages of landscaping, the rules for the formation of flower beds, the main types of plants for flower beds, planting trees and shrubs, as well as the principles of creating a garden in the Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism style, in addition, students study some types of medicinal plants. At the same time, the members of the circle should also learn that a healthy lifestyle allows you to stay active for a long time and will help avoid many diseases and problems. In the course of the work of the circle, students work with additional literature, formalize the information received in the form of creative projects.
The purpose of the circle: is to expand and deepen students’ knowledge in the field of modern landscape design achievements.
The achievement of these goals is planned through the solution of the following tasks:
• to help students master modern achievements in the field of garden design;
• teach how to apply the acquired knowledge in life and practice;
• to form the aesthetic and functional qualities of the natural environment;
• use the acquired knowledge to design the school grounds, houses, city parks, etc.
The program content includes theoretical and practical material. During the theoretical classes, presentations of garden design, principles of creating a garden in the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classicism styles are considered. The practical content of the program is drawing up a house plan, gazebo, plot plan, growing plants, planting fruit trees and shrubs.
Working methods: conversations, practical work on a computer.
Expected results. As a result of the lessons, the members of the circle should know the main stages of work on creating a garden plot design, students should learn the rules of a good landscape designer – the landscape should bring pleasant emotions. The members of the circle should be able to draw up a garden plot plan, a house plan, choose fences for the site, choose the material for the paths, choose flower crops for continuous flowering, be able to carry out gardening of fruit trees, form flower beds of various types. The most important outcome of the lessons will be the projects completed by the students on the following topics:
